I took it in and was told it was from riding on the interstate and from big trucks slinging rocks... I think not... I do not follow close behind trucks and I have never had such on my 10 year old Blazer before this car. The dealer "measured" the thickness & said it was fine. The dealer offered to repaint the bottom portion (it was chipping inside the door) but not the hood. I can make it for around $1.50 a gallon depending on what corn cost is, and where you get the malt and yeast or you make your own etc. According to my truck documentation I should get around 10-11 mpg. They dont have a store front, they do big contract work for like hospitals, universities etc. You may be able to find a similar company in your area.
